The current version is 1.1
Yatch is a plug-in which adds some new contextual menu commands to the Finder. These commands allow you to easily change the type and/or owner of a file, lock/unlock/show and hide it.
This is mostly of use for programmers or advanced users (and can cause problems if you make a mistake, so should be used with care), but can occasionally be a real time saver for users of all levels.
Yatch requires a computer with a PowerPC processor, running MacOS 8.0 or greater.
You can download Yatch here. Yatch is Copyright (C) 1999 Elegant Chaos. All Rights Reserved. It is covered by our standard software disclaimer.
Yatch is $10 shareware - you can use it for a trial period of 28 days, after which it will disable itself unless you pay for it.
You can pay online using a secure form and a credit card, or by post, phone or fax using a registration program, which you can download here. Once you have paid, you will be sent a registration code, which you can enter by choosing the "register" command in the Yatch menu.
To install Yatch, simply drop the "Yatch" file onto your system folder (it should get automatically routed into the "Contextual Menu Items" folder), and then restart.
For full instructions on how to use Yatch, read the documentation here.
