New Mailing List 20/4/00
I've created a new mailing list for U.K. based Macintosh programmers, as I wasn't aware of there being anything similar around. You can join by mailing to uk-mac-dev-subscribe@elegantchaos.com.
Theme Park World coming to the Mac! 20/4/00
Next on the list of game ports that I'm doing is Theme Park World!

No word on a release date yet, but I've got the 3d engine up & running... watch this space or check out the Feral Interactive website.

Yatch 1.1 Released 1/12/99
Now that I've got Championship Manager done, I hope to have a bit of time to update some of my shareware.

First in the list is Yatch, which now works on folders, has some more commands available, and has an important bug fix! More info...

Championship Manager 99/00 Announced 22/10/99
It's official! Championship Manager 99/00 will be released for Mac and PC in time for Christmas. I've been working hard with the Sports Interactive folks (developers of the original on the PC) to bring you the Mac version, and it's looking good...

For more information on the Mac version, check out the Feral Entertainment website. For more info on the game, check out Sports Interactive

Championship Manager 3 29/8/99
If you were wondering why the website has been a bit quiet recently, the answer is that for the last couple of months I have been working on the Macintosh port of Championship Manager. For those who don't know (where have you been?) CM3 is one of the most popular PC games around, and without doubt the best football (that's soccer for you americans out there) simulation you can get.

It's not officially announced yet, so I can't give you a release date, but Mac Format ran a story on it last month so I guess the cat is now out of the bag enough for me to be able to admit that I'm working on it. Don't tell anyone I said so though ;)

Quicktime Beans Update 29/8/99
The demo version of my Quicktime Java Beans recently timed out.

Unfortunately there has been no time recently to work on these beans, but you can now find a new version on the software page which have had the expiry date extended.

Shareware Update - Not Dead, Only Sleeping 29/8/99

I've been hard at work on some private contracts, so the shareware has been suffering from a bit of neglect.

I'm still busy, but I hope to find some time to work on it soon, so please keep sending in your feature requests - they will be done eventually!

FilmFour Screensaver
29/8/99

This is a job I did for Channel 4, a TV station here in the UK, in conjuction with my friends at YSP and NoHo. It's a nice little screensaver which keeps you up to date with the FilmFour schedules and seasons.

I actually completed the work quite a while ago, but it's only just been signed off, and I believe that it should be downloadable from the Film Four website in the near future.

Yatch 1.0.1 Released 3/7/99
This is a contextual menu plugin for the Finder (System 8 or greater), which allows you to easily alter the type and creator of files.
Report Spam 1.3 Released 1/6/99
This is an updated version of my Spam reporting script, which now works with Claris Emailer and Outlook Express.
Contracting in progress... 9/5/99
I'm working on a screen saver for a private client at the moment, so the shareware is having to take a bit of a back seat. With a bit of luck it should be finished in June, at which point I'll be able to say more about it, and hopefully also have time for more work on the shareware...
Noodle Released! 9/5/99
The first fruits of my Real World work are now out in the shops as part of the Afro Celt Sound System's latest CD. They can also be downloaded for free on the internet, from Real World's server.
Back with the Old Trollop 9/5/99
No, I'm not being rude about anyone - the old trollop is my affectionate name for ULTRALAB, one of my former employers. I was back there briefly in April, working on a nice little bit of software for them - written in Java, and involving Quicktime and Web-cams. I think that ULTRALAB plan to give it away for free, but it's not finished yet so you'll just have to be patient...
Script Runner 1.2 Released
15/4/99
Script Runner is a CodeWarrior plugin which allows you to execute an AppleScript once your project has finished linking. Version 1.2 adds the ability to specify the script by name (rather than a full path), and have CodeWarrior search for it like any other source file - useful if you use a source control system and share projects between a number of different machines.
CD Server 1.0 Released 9/4/99
CD Server is a client/server solution that lets you control the audio CD drive of one macintosh from another computer.
Report Spam 1.2 Released 8/4/99
This is an updated version of my Spam reporting script for Claris Emailer.
Script Runner 1.1 Released 24/3/99
Hot on the heels of version 1.0, this update adds some more information to the link event sent to your scripts, and also fixes a bug that could cause 'out of memory' errors on some machines.
Script Runner 1.0 Released 21/3/99
Script Runner is a CodeWarrior plugin which allows you to execute an AppleScript once your project has finished linking.
Bookmark Thing 1.0 Released 17/3/99
After a fairly long beta release program, we're happy to announce that the final version of Bookmark Thing is out.
Report Spam 1.1 Released 13/3/99

After reading a note on Macintouch about combating Spam, I finally got round to something that I've been meaning to do for ages - writing an AppleScript for Claris Emailer which allows you to report Spammers to their service providers.

As a result of some excellent feedback from Macintouch users, I have now revised the script to version 1.1.

Script Runner 1.0b1 Released 9/3/99
This is a new piece of shareware, aimed at programmers who use CodeWarrior on the Mac. It's a plugin which allows you to execute an AppleScript once your project has finished linking.
Site Redesigned 9/3/99
Yes, well, you'd probably spotted it by now, but as you can see this site has had a bit of a makeover. The main change is that I've "unframed" it (which should make everyone's life a bit easier), but I've also added this news section to keep you up to date with what's happening, and tidied all sorts of other bits & pieces too.
Back In The Real World 1/3/99
I was back at Real World studios during february, porting the interactive music engine that I did for them onto Windows. Luckily, I escaped this brush with the Dark Side (that's Windows by the way, not Real World) with only minor injuries. Keep an eye out for the next album from the Afro Celt Sound System, which should contain the fruits of my labours.
